From Ground-Breaking
to Grand Opening

  • 1_Texas_Colorado.jpg

What a fun project this has been to build!

These storage containers traveled all the way from Texas and have been transformed from a simple concept into a key part of our drive-thru coffee shop. What started as a vision on paper is now taking shape right before our eyes.

With Heather’s years of experience in the drive-thru coffee industry and the Crawford family’s resources, expertise, and willingness to think outside the box, this unique idea has become a reality. Together, we’ve created a practical and efficient space designed to support a fast-paced coffee operation while giving new life to repurposed shipping containers.

It’s been exciting to watch each stage of the build come together—from delivery and site preparation to framing, utilities, and interior construction. Every step brings us closer to opening our doors and serving our community.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has helped make this dream possible and can’t wait to share the finished product with you all.

This was the moment it all started to feel real.

After nearly three years of planning, permitting, meetings, revisions, paperwork, and countless behind-the-scenes efforts, we finally watched the dirt start moving and construction begin. Seeing equipment on site and the first signs of progress in the ground was both exciting and surreal.

So much work goes into a project long before a shovel ever hits the dirt, and this milestone represented years of persistence, patience, and belief in the vision.

Perhaps the best part of all—we’re back in El Jebel. Returning to the community that has supported us from the beginning feels incredibly special, and we couldn’t be more excited to continue building something that will serve our neighbors for years to come.

This was the first visible step toward making our dream a reality, and we can’t stop smiling.

    The Begining of something big!

Growing up in Washington State—the capital of drive-thru coffee—I spent countless mornings and afternoons at small coffee stands that became part of the fabric of their communities. Those experiences planted the seed for what would eventually become this project.

This photo captures the very early stages of construction. Right now, it may just look like dirt being moved and the site being leveled, but this is the foundation of a dream years in the making. Every grade adjustment and scoop of dirt is preparing the way for a modern drive-thru coffee shop inspired by the efficient, community-focused coffee stands that have been so successful throughout the Pacific Northwest.

At this stage, it takes a little imagination to see the finished product, but this leveled ground will soon become a place where friends connect, morning routines begin, and great local menu is served with a smile.

Sometimes the most exciting transformations start with what looks like the smallest amount of progress.

Things are really starting to take shape! The foundation is getting set, the walls are going up, and there’s finally something tangible to see beyond dirt and drawings.

For such a small footprint, there is an incredible amount of coordination, planning, and activity happening every day. From framing and utilities to inspections and scheduling, every detail matters. Our goal has always been to build something that not only looks great but is built to last and functions efficiently for years to come.

The crews working on this project have been putting in long hours and moving things forward as quickly as possible while still making sure everything is done the right way. Construction always comes with its challenges, but watching the progress unfold has been exciting and rewarding.

A huge shoutout to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life. Your hard work, craftsmanship, and dedication are helping turn an idea into a reality. We couldn’t do it without you!

The crews have been pouring concrete all week, and with every truckload, we’re getting one step closer to opening day. It’s exciting to see so much progress happening so quickly as the foundation for our future takes shape.

As construction moves forward, we’re dreaming about everything that will soon be coming out of our windows. Our menu will offer something for everyone—from fresh açaí bowls, smoothies, pressed juices, and ice cream to pastries, grab-and-go breakfast options, lunch items, and of course a full lineup of coffee, teas, and specialty beverages.

This project has always been about more than just coffee. It’s about creating a fun, welcoming space where the community can stop in, connect, fuel their adventures, and enjoy great food and drinks.

The energy is high, the momentum is building, and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on. Summer is looking bright, and the vibes are even brighter.

This is one of those exciting stages where the vision starts becoming reality. Watching everything being lifted, placed, and fitted together gives us our first real glimpse of what the coffee shop will look like.

What may seem like a few simple structures coming together actually represents thousands of decisions, countless hours of planning, and the hard work of an incredible team. Each piece has a purpose, and seeing it all take shape is a reminder of just how far this project has come.

If you’ve been following along, now is a great time to check out the progress for yourself at 70 El Jebel Road. Every week brings something new, and the transformation is happening fast.

The question is: Can you guess how many steps it takes to go from an idea on paper to a fully functioning drive-thru coffee shop? Between planning, permitting, engineering, site work, inspections, construction, equipment installation, training, and everything in between, the number might surprise you!

The foundation walls are officially set, and things are moving right along! It’s amazing to see the progress happening as each phase brings us closer to the moment we’ve been waiting for.

We’re checking off milestones, staying on schedule, and watching months (and years) of planning come to life. The next big step? (Eventually) placing the containers onto their permanent foundation and finally seeing the structure begin to take its full shape.

Every stage of construction builds on the last, and while there is still plenty of work ahead, this feels like a major turning point in the project. What once existed only in sketches, plans, and conversations is becoming something real.

We’re crushing the process, celebrating the wins along the way, and getting more excited with every passing day.

  • 8_container_set.jpg

Wow. This is the moment we’ve been waiting for.

The containers are officially on the foundation, and for the first time, we have a real structure standing on site. After years of dreaming, planning, permitting, designing, and building, we can finally step back and visualize what this place is going to become.
A vision is now an actual building taking shape in the heart of the Mid Valley. Seeing the containers set in place makes everything feel real, and the excitement level just jumped way up.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but now you can truly see the future of this space—a place built for community, connection, convenience, and really great coffee.

Whether you’re heading up valley for work, skiing, hiking, or heading down valley after a long day, we’re aiming to become your favorite pit stop along the way. A quick stop, friendly faces, quality food and drinks, and good vibes every time.

The transformation is happening fast, and we promise—you won’t be disappointed.

Mid Valley, we’re coming for you.

  • 9_first_snow_day.jpg

Just 31 days ago, we were standing here preparing and organizing for one of the biggest milestones of the project—getting these containers onto their foundation.

As if Colorado wanted to remind us who’s really in charge, we were greeted with a surprise snow day. One of those classic spring moments where winter isn’t quite ready to let go. Looking back now, it feels like the perfect start to this chapter.

Since then, the progress has been incredible. What seemed like a massive undertaking has unfolded with a rhythm and flow that has honestly felt unreal at times. Every challenge has led to a solution, every delay has brought new opportunities, and each step has happened just when it needed to.

Now the containers are set, the vision is becoming reality, and we’re stepping into April with so much excitement for what’s ahead.

We’re incredibly grateful—for the team, the community, the partnerships, and all the little moments that have made this journey so special. Sometimes projects take on a life of their own, and this one has certainly done that.

Hello, April. The good times are coming.

  • 10_drive_thru_poured.jpg

Here we are pouring concrete once again—but this time, we’re shaping what will soon become the heart of the operation: the drive-thru.

It’s exciting to watch the layout come to life. What looks like concrete forms and construction equipment today will soon be the lane where thousands of customers roll through for their morning coffee, afternoon pick-me-up, smoothie, açaí bowl, or favorite specialty drink.

Every section of pavement is being carefully planned and built to create a smooth (except where we put our hand prints), efficient experience—from easy entry and exit points to a drive-thru flow that keeps things moving while still allowing us to deliver the friendly service we’re known for.

One of the things we’re most excited about is creating a place that’s convenient without sacrificing connection. Fast service, familiar faces, and a community-focused atmosphere have been at the center of this vision from day one.

It’s amazing to think that this concrete will soon become the pathway for countless conversations, morning routines, and daily adventures.

The pieces are coming together, and the dream is becoming reality one pour at a time.
